The Tahoe also offers charging ports, a rear-seat entertainment system, and two 12.6-inch displays mounted behind the front seats. The interior is spacious with ample headroom and legroom throughout. The 2022 Ford Explorer features an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay® and a Wi-Fi hotspot. A 12-speaker B&O stereo system also comes standard. The cabin offers 10 cup holders and five 12-volt outlets. Maximum cargo space is 87.8 cubic feet. Top tier trims offer ambient lighting, red sticking, leather materials, and more.
The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe offers a 5.3-liter V8 engine that generates 355 horsepower. The High Country trim houses a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower (available on the RST, Z71, and Premier). A turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six diesel engine is also offered (except on the Z71). All of the engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard.
The 2022 Ford Explorer features a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 300 horsepower. A hybrid variant is offered in the Limited and Platinum trims, which is paired with a 3.3-liter V6 that produces 318 horsepower. The King Ranch and Platinum trims house a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that pumps out 400 horsepower. All models come with rear-wheel drive.
The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe offers a wide range of driver assistance features, including forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assistance/lane-departure warning, rear seat reminder, front/rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, among others.
