The 2022 GMC Yukon is a roomy three-row SUV that features several engine options and boasts of quality driving mechanics. The 2022 Yukon hits the road this year with several updates, including a now standard 12.3-inch digital gauge display and a new infotainment interface that GMC developed alongside Google. The Yukon and Yukon XL now feature Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play Store. Additionally, the AT4 can now house the 6.2-liter V8 engine, while the Denali comes with a now standard power-sliding center console.
The 2022 Ford Expedition is known for its cavernous interior, its peppy powertrains, and its efficient max towing capability. The Expedition arrives in showrooms with a revised exterior and interior, along with a wealth of new features and options.
The 2022 GMC Yukon features a standard 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. All trims also come with a 10.2-inch infotainment system. The Yukon seats up to eight passengers, though if you opt for the second-row captain’s chairs that number dips to seven. The Denali trim offers an elegant interior with novel features including a wood-trimmed dashboard and hand-stitched upholstery. Technology features include navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bose® speakers, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay®, among others.
The 2022 Ford Expedition features a 12-inch touchscreen that houses Ford’s Sync 4 infotainment software. The system comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay®, Wi-Fi, a rear-seat entertainment system, among other features. Each model features a power-folding third row that can be controlled from the cargo area. The Expedition seats eight people.
The Yukon offers two V8 engines: a 355-horsepower 5.3-liter engine and a 420-horsepower 6.2-liter engine. A 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-six that generates 460 pound-feet of torque is also offered. All models come with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear- or all-wheel drive is available.
The Expedition utilizes a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates either 380 horsepower or 400 horsepower, depending on the model that you get. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with rear- or all-wheel drive. The Stealth Performance package further increases the horsepower to 440. The Expedition can tow up to 9,300 pounds.
The 2022 GMC Yukon can be equipped with an array of smart safety and driver assistance features, including Automated Emergency Braking with Forward-Collision Warning, Teen Driver, Following Distance Indicator, Rear Park Assist, and IntelliBeam Auto High Beams, among others.
The 2022 Ford Expedition features a range of safety features including BlueCruise, Trail Turn Assist, Forward-Collision Warning and Automated Emergency Braking, Lane-Departure Warning and Lane-Keeping Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
